11/2008 – CB Capital Partners Opens Los Angeles Office – David Hung Heads Office

NEWPORT BEACH / LOS ANGELES (November 2008) – CB Capital Partners, Inc. announced the opening of its Los Angeles office.  The new office is located in the downtown Los Angeles TCW building at 865 S. Figueroa Street, Suite 3340, Los Angeles, CA 90017 (213) 802-0611.  The additional office is the result of CB Capital Partners’ continued growth and expansion of its cross-border transactions.  Mr. David Hung, formerly of Ernst & Young and FMV Opinions, will be heading the Los Angeles office.  Mr. Hung is a welcome addition to CB Capital team given both his analytical skill sets and his global network that was developed over a successful career and longstanding family relationships.

Mr. Hung is an Investment Banking Vice President for the Los Angeles office of CB Capital Partners. Mr. Hung has over 8 years of global diversified financial experience in investment banking and finance.   He has played an integral role in a variety of assignments including mergers & acquisitions, fairness opinions, valuation, litigation, recapitalizations, divestitures, private placements of debt and equity securities and restructurings.   He has notable expertise in manufacturing, technology, apparel and media.

Prior to joining CB Capital Partners, Mr. Hung worked with Ernst & Young LLP in the Transaction Advisory Services group where he serviced Fortune 500 private and public companies as well as middle market and small enterprises.  As part of the Valuation and Business Modeling practice of Ernst & Young, Mr. Hung performed various services for acquisitions including purchase price allocation among tangible assets, intangible assets, and goodwill in accordance to the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) SFAS 141, Business Combinations, as well as annual impairment testing of goodwill under guidance of SFAS 142, Goodwill and Other Intangible Assets.  Prior to that Mr. Hung worked with FMV Opinions in their business valuation practice as well as the investment banking practice of FMV Capital Markets where he played an instrumental role in various valuations for litigation support, estate and gift tax purposes, as well as valuation for mergers and acquisitions.  While at FMV, Mr. Hung was the lead analyst to manage and build upon the FMV Rule 144 Restricted Stock Study for Discount for Lack of Marketability and built their first Binomial Decision Model for use in various Litigation Support assignments.

Mr. Hung graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science and Economics and is a candidate for membership with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). In addition, Mr. Hung speaks Cantonese and is fluent in both Mandarin and Taiwanese.
